Privacy Policy: Sprayed Edges
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Spangler Development LLC ("we", "us") makes Sprayed Edges (the "App"), a self-care routine app for romance readers. The short version: your routine, your chapters and your settings never leave your phone. The only information that reaches anyone else is what's needed to verify a Special Edition subscription.
What stays on your device
Everything you do in the App is stored only on your phone. We have no server for it, no account system, and no way to see it:
- Your chosen character, heat level and praise term
- Your routine, the tasks you check off each day, and your reminder times
- Which chapters you've unlocked and read
- The name you put on your bookplate, if you add one
The optional "Take your meds" task is just a checkbox. The App never asks for or stores medication names, doses or any health information, and it does not give medical advice.
Reminders are scheduled on the phone itself. Their text is never sent to us. With lock-screen privacy on (the default), a reminder only says that your character left you a note.
Voice lines and fonts are built into the App, so reading and listening make no network requests.
What leaves your device: subscriptions
If you start a trial or buy Special Edition, the purchase is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat, a subscription service, to confirm that your subscription is active. To do that, RevenueCat receives:
| Data | Why | Linked to you? |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous app user ID | A random ID created by the App so your subscription can be matched to this install. It contains no name, email or phone number. | No. It isn't tied to your identity. |
| Purchase records | Which plan you bought, the price, the store, and the dates of the trial, purchases and renewals, so the App knows whether Special Edition is active and can restore it. | To the anonymous ID only. |
| Basic technical details | App version, device type and operating system version, which accompany these requests. | To the anonymous ID only. |
If you never start a trial or subscribe, the App still checks in with RevenueCat when it opens to see whether there's a subscription to restore, which sends the anonymous ID and technical details above. We never receive your card or bank details. RevenueCat's handling of this data is described in its privacy policy, and Apple's and Google's payment handling in theirs.
What we don't do
- No accounts and no sign-in
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No ads, and no advertising identifiers
- No tracking across other apps or websites
- We don't sell or share data with anyone
Age
The App contains suggestive romantic content and is intended for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Where the law requires it, the App asks the App Store or Google Play for your age range (for example "18 or over"), never your birthdate. The answer is used on your phone only to decide whether the App is available to you. It is not stored and not sent to us or anyone else.
Your choices
- Erase your data: in the App, open Cast, then Settings, and tap Erase everything. This deletes your routine, progress, chapters and settings from the phone. Deleting the App does the same.
- Notifications: change reminder times or turn them off in the Routine tab, or in your device settings.
- Subscriptions: manage, cancel or request refunds through the App Store or Google Play.
- Subscription records: to have RevenueCat's records for your purchases deleted, email us your App Store or Google Play order number and we'll arrange it. Depending on where you live (for example the EEA or UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have other rights over your data, and we honor those requests through the same address.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, mention it in the App.
